Only if it fits your trip
- Is a food tour in Gdansk worth it?: Depends on how long you have. A guided food tour earns its PLN 320 to 399 when your Gdansk time is short, since it packs a meal of Polish tastings and the stories behind them into three to four hours. On longer stays the milk bars, food halls and pierogi restaurants make eating on your own easy.
- Is Westerplatte in Gdansk worth it?: Westerplatte is the wooded peninsula where the first shots of WWII were fired on 1 September 1939: a memorial of guardhouse and barracks ruins, information boards and a 25-metre monument, run by the Museum of the Second World War. It is worth the trip out if the history moves you, not if you expect a big museum or an intact battlefield.
