- Is a Bran Castle day trip from Bucharest worth it?: Depends why you go. The fortress on its rock above the gorge photographs superbly and pairs easily with Brasov, but the Dracula connection it sells is marketing, and visitors who come for vampire history often call it a modest museum wrapped in souvenir stalls.
- Is a food tour in Bucharest worth it?: Depends. Book a tour if you want Obor Market, the mahalla quarters and the story behind Romanian food in one guided afternoon; skip it if you are happy to eat sarmale, mici and papanasi at Caru cu Bere and the markets on your own for a fraction of the price.
- Is Therme Bucharest worth it?: Good value if you accept crowds: go midweek at opening and pay for The Palm or Elysium. Even a weekday morning can fill the loungers within an hour, and weekends were worse for the visitors who went.
