Only if it fits your trip
- Is a food tour in Vilnius worth it?: Worth it for a first-timer who wants Lithuanian dishes explained and tasted in one walk, with a guide who folds in Soviet-era stories; skip it if you have eaten your way through the Baltics or count euros, because Hales market and the tavern circuit do the DIY version for a fraction.
- Is a Hill of Crosses day trip from Vilnius worth it?: Depends on how much logistics friction you will tolerate: the hill is free, strange and moving for about an hour, but it sits two-plus hours from Vilnius with an awkward last leg, so the practical play is a guided round trip rather than piecing together trains and taxis.
- Is Gediminas Tower in Vilnius worth it?: Depends. The brick keep is the national symbol and its terrace frames the best panorama in the city, but the funicular has been suspended indefinitely since September 2025, so the hill is foot-only via a steep stone path; if you cannot make that climb or only want the view, the free flag terrace does most of the job.
