Only if it fits your trip
- Is a Dolomites day trip from Venice worth it?: Depends on whether you can stay a night: a day trip from Venice shows you Cortina and a lake or two, but reports describe a 10 to 12 hour day with roughly half of it on the road, so anyone who can sleep in the mountains gets far more for the same effort.
- Is a Dolomites summer lift pass worth it?: Depends: the Dolomiti Supersummer card only beats single tickets if you ride two or three major lifts a day, and in 2026 it does not cover the Seceda lifts, so a Seceda-focused Val Gardena stay is better served by the Gardena Card.
- Is a guided via ferrata in the Dolomites worth it?: Depends on your experience: first-timers and anyone eyeing a harder route get real value from a certified mountain guide, while confident hikers who know how to use a via ferrata kit do easy routes on their own with rented gear.
- Is Lago di Braies worth it?: It depends on when you can go: the lake is free to visit and as striking as its photos, but travelers who arrive at midday in July describe a crowded, costly stop, while early and late visitors mostly leave happier.
- Is the Seceda cable car worth it?: Depends: the fastest way up to the famous Seceda ridge costs EUR 74 return in summer 2026, so it pays off if you want minimal walking and can ride early or late; hikers get the same ridge for less via the Col Raiser lift.
