Only if it fits your trip
- Are the Széchenyi Baths worth it?: Yes for the steaming outdoor pools, if you go on a weekday morning, bring your own towel and flip-flops, and are not traveling with children under 14.
- Is a Danube dinner cruise in Budapest worth it?: It depends on why you are going: reports praise the lit riverfront from the water, while the one logged dinner cruise found the food pleasant but the views the real highlight. Book dinner as a special evening out; if you only want the views, a sightseeing or drinks cruise costs much less and you can eat on land.
- Is the Budapest Card worth it?: Depends: the Budapest Card clears its price only when unlimited transport plus several free attractions you would actually pay for, like the Lukács bath, the Castle Bus and a daytime cruise, add up past it. Parliament, the House of Terror and the headline baths (Széchenyi, Rudas) are excluded or only discounted, so a plain travelcard plus cash tickets is cheaper for most light itineraries.
- Is the Hungarian Parliament tour worth it?: Yes, if you plan ahead: the 45-minute tour covers the Grand Staircase, the Dome Hall and the Holy Crown, but non-EEA visitors pay double the EEA rate and slots sell out weeks before popular dates.
