Is a food tour in Bordeaux worth it?: It depends on how you eat. The tours in the reports are guided morning walks through bakeries, cheese shops and the Capucins market, and the tour reports are positive, but the two reports on eating solo show the same stops are easy to do without a guide.
Is a wine tour from Bordeaux worth it?: Depends on which Bordeaux you want: for the Medoc's classified-growth chateaux, a small-group tour is close to the only way in and reports say it earns its price, while a Saint-Emilion-only day is better done by the 33-minute train plus a chateau visit you book yourself.
